Fuck The System! Go Off Grid!

Worse and even more egregious is the wasted money on vanity projects like giant mega churches, huge stadiums we don’t need, massive corporate and government spending on things we don’t need instead of investing in programs to help people in need.

Don’t you dare tell me it’s moral to build a $130 million dollar mega church while leaving homeless people to die on the street, because I’ll tell you you’re a pos. I don’t give a F*** who you are or where you come from, if you believe spending money on vanity projects in more important than helping homeless and hungry people with housing and food, then you are morally bankrupt.

What’s this got to do with going off grid!?

Well, if you’re actually asking that question then you don’t know what people actually need to live and why off grid lifestyle is better than the current greedy corrupt system we’re living in.

Off grid is about building the infrastructure you need to live independently. It’s about building the systems you need to be completely independent and free from having to pay the system to live.

There are 5 things everyone needs to live.

This is what you’re building. These 5 systems are actually very simple to build and when you think about it it will make perfect sense.

That’s it. That’s all the systems you need to live and provide for your family. When you go off grid you’re building these systems for yourself.

You own the infrastructure of your own independence.

You buy the tools and equipment and materials and you build the systems on your own land. You own your own infrastructure. No one can tell you not to. You will be completely 100% self reliant! 100% independent! And 100% free from the confines of a system that is designed to keep you paying rent.

Your foundation of freedom is education. You build everything else on that foundation.

When you realize that you’re not just moving off grid, you’re building and owning your own infrastructure then everything will click into place.

Some of you already know this. Some of you have known this for years because you already live off grid.

But, this “systems thinking” concept isn’t clear to most people.

Most people don’t think in terms of systems.

Your off grid house is a structural system. It’s a living system of a foundation, walls, a roof that keeps you and your family safe from the environment.

Your off grid food system is your garden, permaculture, aquaponics, hydroponics, vertical gardening, raised beds, row crops, chickens, pigs, cows, other livestock is your food system.

Your off grid utility system, is your water well, rain barrels, water catchment, cistern, water filtration, solar power, breaker box, digital power meter, charge controller, inverter, battery bank for energy storage, wind turbine for supplemental power, wood stove for heat and cooking, dual fuel generator for backup power.

Your off grid healthcare is based on eating healthy food from your garden, hard work around the homestead gives you the exercise you need to stay fit and heathy.

Your off grid education starts with learning everything you can about these systems and building your own.

There is one more system.

Money!

It takes money to do all of this. It takes money to buy the land, tools, equipment and materials to go off grid.

This is why I’m still homeless. It doesn’t matter that you have all the knowledge to go off grid because if you don’t have the money to start you never get there.

I’m became homeless by choice. I spent years refusing to work for a system that treated people like cattle. I refused to “get a job” because I hate the system that exploits people for profit while making the richer richer abd the poor poorer. I hate the system that destroys lives for profit. I hate the system that forces you to work for it just to survive! I hate the system that charges you outrageous prices for everything you need to live while paying you shit wages! I think it’s morally bankrupt, I believe it’s morally evil to allow so many people to suffer and struggle just to make ends meet. I believe it’s morally evil to allow so many people go without housing and food while we build massive monuments to greed and corruption. I believe it’s morally egregious to let people suffer and struggle when we can help them. I believe that anyone that thinks this system we live in now is the best we can do is a fool and we should call them out for their ignorance and lies. I believe the system is corrupt and greedy and that it doesn’t care about you or your family and that it will destroy you and use you up if you let it.

I also believe that we are better than this.

I believe that humans are better than this cold cruel inhumane system we’re trapped in. The system is a giant machine designed to extract money from everyone and pump it to elites at the top. I believe most people already know the system is corrupt, but they’re too busy just surviving to do anything about it.

The system isn’t broken, it’s designed to keep you struggling so you don’t have time to think about how it’s exploiting you, overcharging you for housing, food, utilities, gas, insurance, healthcare and education while simultaneously paying you wages so low that you and your wife or husband or oartber have to work 50, 60, 80 hours a week, or get 2-3 jobs just to get by.

That’s not living. That’s slavery. And your masters are the elites that own everything you need to live.

They own all the good land, all the food and farms, all the utility companies, they own the healthcare system and the education system, and they own the monopolies that control the prices on everything you need to live.

The system is not your friend. It’s your master. So the question is will you continue to be a slave to the system, or cut ties, unplug and go off grid? Are you going to continue to work a job for the system that exploits you while you work your butt off gir 30 years of your life to make someone else rich off all your hard work?

You don’t want to but you have to. If you stop working, you die. You end up homeless. Hungry. Destitute. You will lose everything. So you keep working out of fear.

Or...

You go off grid.

But you can’t go off grid right now can you?

Not without money.

So you keep working and saving. Hoping to one day have enough to make the move off grid.

Meanwhile, years go by, and the money you’re saving in the bank is losing value to inflation, you’re working longer hours, cost of living is increasing, your money doesn’t go as far anymore, so you work more hours, you get multiple jobs, your partner gets another job, your kids are being raised by strangers at daycare, you’re working so hard you can’t stop working because if you stop working you lose everything end up on the street. Homeless.

If you stop working for the system you die.

Or…

You go off grid and build a new system for yourself and your family.

So how do you go off grid with no money?

You can’t. Unless you don't mind being homeless.

Oh, and just to make things more difficult and terrifying, some cities and states are making laws that make it illegal to be homeless.

So you keep working, you get a second and third job. But this is unsustainable and you know it. So you start looking for a way out.

You know how to stop the bleeding but you just don’t have the money because every dollar you make goes to the system just to survive.

Millions of people are trapped in the system and can’t get out.

Homeless rates have skyrocketed since I made this meme 12 years ago. But you wouldn’t know it if you believe the numbers the government is telling you.

The homeless numbers are in the millions. It’s not because they’re all addicts or lazy bums. It’s because the system doesn’t care. It’s because there are no safety nets anymore. It’s because the greedy elites in power believe profits are more important than people.

So what’s the answer?

I told you. Go off grid. That’s good enough for your family. But it’s not going to help anyone else.

We help others by educating them. We help others by providing them with the knowledge and tools they need.

We work on changing the system with our votes. We call our representatives and make them know that we won’t vote for them if they refuse to do the right thing for the people who are struggling. We protest greed, we protest corruption, we vote for bills that help people not line the pockets of corporate campaign donors. We fight back against the greed with our voices and our votes. And we vote with our dollars.

We can’t change the current system, but we can build a better system that makes the old system obsolete.

We do that through cooperation. We do it by helping each other.

This is why I started my first off grid project 15 years ago to help folks in their off grid journey.

Now today I happen to be homeless. Does that mean I don’t know what I’m talking about? Of course not. Read my work. It speaks for itself.

You know I’m right. You know what I’m telling you is true. This is how the system works. And the best way to get out of the system is to build and own your own while simultaneously helping others do the same thing.

You want to go off grid? Start a side hustle business. Sell everything you don’t need, move into a camper trailer, cut your bills down to nothing, cancel all your subscriptions, stop eating out, save every penny, live in a camper for a year or two while you save and when you have enough money, go off grid.

If you have kids it’s way more complicated.

There’s no easy answer. There’s no quick fix.

People judge me because I’m temporarily homeless, and you can dismiss what I’m telling you but you know I’m telling you the truth.

You know the system is corrupted and it’s beyond saving. You know greed has corrupted everything.

You know I’m right.

But some of you will still dismiss my argument against greed.

Some of you will refuse to accept the truth. That’s ok. Stay in the system, we don’t need you. The system does. And when the system collapses (and it will) then you’ll go down with it.

A few of you will actually still defend the system that’s enslaving you. Some of you defend the current greedy corrupt system saying it’s the best we can do. But it’s really not the best humanity can do. You don’t have to stay trapped. You can leave the system. Or you can choose to be like that character Cypher in the Matrix movie who betrayed his friends and and fellow human beings and he chose the Matrix instead of having the courage to stand up and stand for his fellow human beings. Cypher betrayed humanity.

Don’t be a Cypher. The choice is yours.

You can continue to defend the greedy corrupt system and be on the wrong side of history.

Or you can choose humanity, charity, love, freedom and independence.

Unplug from the system, go off grid. Stop feeding the beast that is the system.

You can still have everything you need to live very comfortably and with a whole lot less stress, off grid.

You can still have all the modern conveniences of technology and still be off grid.

Off grid just means you make and own your own systems.

When you realize you’re building your own system, that you own the infrastructure, you own your own land, you own your own home, you own your own food supply, you own your own shelter water food power then you own your own freedom.

That’s off grid freedom!
