This policy explains what we collect when you visit Off Grid Living & Survival and sites in the OGLS ad network, why, and the choices you have.
For analytics we record page views and on-page time, the page URL, referrer, UTM parameters, coarse device/OS/browser, preferred language, and an approximate location (country/region/city) derived from your IP address. We do not store your raw IP — it is hashed with a daily-rotating salt. We set a first-party ogls_vid cookie (a random id, no personal data) to measure unique visitors and returning visits.
You can decline non-essential analytics cookies via the banner shown on your first visit. Declining stops the persistent visitor id and analytics tracking. You can also clear the ogls_vid/ogls_consent cookies at any time in your browser.
To understand traffic, improve content, measure newsletter and ad performance, and detect abuse/fraud. We do not sell your personal information.
Payments are processed by Stripe; approximate geolocation uses ip-api.com. These providers process data on our behalf under their own terms.
When you visit a publisher site running OGLS ads, the same analytics applies to attribute ad impressions, clicks and viewability. Bot traffic is filtered and never tracked for billing.
Analytics events are retained in aggregate for reporting. Depending on your location you may have rights to access or delete your data — contact us via the contact page to make a request.
This is a general template provided for convenience, not legal advice. Have qualified counsel review it before you rely on it.
