Off grid does NOT mean living like a caveman

Off grid does NOT mean living like a caveman. It doesn’t mean “roughing it,” and it damn sure doesn’t mean giving up technology, the internet, your phone, or modern conveniences.
If you want to live primitive, that’s fine. Do it. For YOU.
What you don’t get to do is come in here and tell people they’re “not off grid enough,” or that they’re doing it wrong. That crap won’t fly.
This group isn’t here for purist gatekeeping screaming at everyone who doesn't live like them. Those who try it, and will be banned immediately and permanently. No warnings. No appeals. No exceptions.
There are as many ways to live off grid as there are humans on earth, and every one of them is valid if it keeps you safe, happy, and free. For some, it’s solar panels and wind turbines and battery backups.
For others, it’s raising livestock and growing their own food and living in a cave. It's perfectly fine to live off grid in a cave, but just because you do doesn't mean everyone else should too.
And yes, for plenty of people, off grid includes smartphones, laptops, WiFi, and hot showers.
